We were informed by the City of Joliet Public Works Department that they will be closing the intersection of Mound Road and Houbolt Road for concrete pavement construction starting at approximately 4pm on Friday,     May 26. The intersection re-opening is scheduled for Tuesday morning, May 30. See the attachments for more details. The closing will require a detour route for businesses east of the intersection to use Mound Road and Moen Avenue heading east to Larkin Avenue within the Village. A detour will be posted using McDonough Street and Larkin Avenue.  They expect minimal disruption as this will occur over a holiday weekend.
