Meadow Avenue Water Main Replacement Project

We are currently making improvements to Rockdale’s water main system. The Meadow Avenue Water Main Replacement project will be constructing a new water main and replacing water services along Meadow Avenue from Morris Street to Brandon Road. These improvements are being made to replace the Village’s undersized and aging water main and will also include removing and replacing lead water services. Once complete, it will decrease the number of water main breaks and provide safer drinking water to customers. Funding for this project was partially provided by a low interest loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund (SRF). The SRF program is funded by both state and federal sources. The $4,300,000 loan has an interest rate of 1.00% and will be repaid over 40 years. For more information, please contact Village Hall.
