When toilets run, nobody wins!

Did you know toilets are the biggest water users in most homes?

A running or leaky toilet can waste hundreds of gallons of water every day. The Village of Rockdale is encouraging residents to give their toilets some attention, whether that means finding and fixing leaks, replacing worn-out parts, or upgrading to a new high-efficiency model. Don’t let your toilet rule your water bill. Fix it, replace it, and save! 

* Toilets account for nearly 30% of indoor water use, and a leaky or outdated toilet can waste thousands of gallons each year.

Find Leaks.  You can test your toilets with dye tabs or food coloring.  If it changes color, it’s time for a fix!

Fix leaks.  Replace flappers, fill valves, or other parts.  A $5 part could save you money on your water bill.

Replace toilet.  Upgrade to a high-efficiency model.
