IDOT will be starting the I-80 and Center St interchange reconstruction project on Monday, 12/8.  As part of this project, all the ramps and Center St/Meadow Avenue over I-80 will be closing until project completion near the end of 2028.  The eastbound entrance ramp from Rockdale will remain open until the end of 2027, but that will eventually close too.  

Detours will be posted to direct traffic to use US-6, Larkin Ave, and Jefferson St while Center St and the ramps are closed.  

IDOT will be sending out an official press release before the project starts.
