July 6, 1957 – April 13, 2024

The Village of Rockdale is saddened to share our recently retired Public Works Director, James Planinsek has passed away.

James was fondly known as Smokey.  He was employed at the Village in our Public Works Department and was our Public Works Director for 39 years.  He was well-respected, a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a friend to all who knew him.

The Village sends heartfelt condolences to the family.
