Village of Rockdale has Contracted with Wags 2 Wellness

The Village of Rockdale has contracted with Wags 2 Wellness as Joliet Township Animal Control terminated our contract unexpectedly.

Basically, nothing changes for the resident as far as what they would do if a pet were lost or found.  The only change is where the pet/stray will be housed which is Wags 2 Wellness, Minooka, IL, 888 526 9247.

Village Staff will pick up the stray and/or if a stray is brought to the Village Hall, Village Staff will transfer the stray to Wags 2 Wellness where they begin the intake process. Please refer to the attached flyer for owner redemption and reclaim fees.

Animals covered by this Agreement are dogs and cats as well as puppies and kittens.  Livestock or any other animal would need to be dealt with by a wildlife relocation company which you can find via a google search.
